Haulit Equine L.L.C. (“Haulit Equine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Haulit Equine mobile application and website, a peer-to-peer platform connecting horse owners with independent, DOT-verified haulers.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you access or use our services. By using the Haulit Equine app or website, you agree to the practices described below.

- Driver’s license number and expiration date
- Motor Carrier (MC) / USDOT number
- Vehicle registration, insurance certificates, and proof of coverage
- Background-check results and MVR data (via Checkr or integrated DOT/MVR API)

C. Horse and Trip Information:
- Horse breed, count, demeanor, and health certificates (Coggins, veterinary documents)
- Pickup and delivery addresses, dates, and special instructions

D. Location and Usage Data:
- GPS coordinates and route telemetry during active hauls
- Device type, app version, browser information, and IP address

E. Payment and Tax Information:
- Bank-account or payout details (via Stripe Express)
- Payment amounts, service fees, refunds, and tax records (1099 reporting)

F. Communications and Support:
- In-app messages, support tickets, and customer feedback
- Ratings and reviews submitted through the platform

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:
- Facilitate and verify hauls between customers and drivers
- Process payments securely through Stripe Express
- Conduct driver screening and MVR checks for regulatory compliance

5. GPS and Location Consent

When a driver clicks “Start Trip,” GPS tracking activates automatically. Location data is shared with the horse owner for real-time visibility and stored for compliance and dispute resolution. Users consent to this data use when accepting a haul or driving assignment.

6. Data Sharing

We may share information with:
- Payment Processor (Stripe Express): for payouts and tax reporting
- Background Screening Provider (Checkr): for driver verification and MVR checks
- Insurance Partners: to validate coverage and process claims
- Regulatory Agencies: as required by FMCSA, USDA, or law enforcement
- Service Providers: for IT infrastructure, analytics, and customer support under confidentiality agreements

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise disclose personal information for marketing purposes.

7. Data Storage & Retention

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Driver credentials, trip records, and BOL documents are retained for three (3) years to mirror FMCSA recordkeeping requirements. Payment and tax data are stored for seven (7) years to comply with IRS guidelines. You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time (subject to legal retention requirements).

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
